Portfolio Entry 1

In the 9th grade I have excelled in a number of topics. Excelling to me means, knowing an extensive amount on a topic, while understanding it the entire time. For example, an excelling artist can create something absolutely beautiful, because they know more on the topic and can use techniques that they have learned to aid them while making art. I have excelled in art. Going into it, I had a hard time drawing stick figures. But as time went on I was able to get more and more about of art. My teacher was able to teach things that I would have never guessed were true. I learned to accept my art and take everything out of the art. I became for confident in my work, and because of that. I was able to do my work better than ever before. Some of the work that I had done actually got shown during a showing of all the schools work. Which has never happened to me before. My art skills are at its peek and have never been this good before. I’m still getting better. I continue to learn more and more about art. Inside and out of school. My family does painting nights. We all go to the table and we watch a video teaching us how to paint certain things. After we are done we hang the paintings we like. Inside of school I take art seriously. I pay the best attention I can pay to focusing on what we are learning that day. My first artifact is my guash painting I did around the middle of the year. This is the best I have ever done in my art history. I am proud to show it off as mine.
