School-Wide Reflection

Throughout my time at STEM  I have grown through the process of project based learning. I have grown in my leaderships and the ability to handle difficult situations. The following projects I personally selected as examples to prove my growth. Without STEM I would have never gotten the chances to experience these projects.

Looking back on the Cancer PSA project, I realize how much I have truly grown throughout the project. We had a very successful group and we all worked well with one another. In this portfolio entry I will be talking about how this project was a huge success for me as well as how these skills I learned through the Cancer PSA will help me later in life with my future career.

Personal Budget Project

The personal budget project involved creating a budget for my first year out of high school. It helped me understand that some of my college choices were going to end up costing me a lot more money then I thought. This project helps me understand what to expect after my years out of high school.

Throughout my experience as a tenth grade student. I have had many struggles. And once a new struggle appears, I do my very best to try and overcome it. This year I struggled with finding an effective way to study my growing list of vocab stem words. In this entry I will go into detail with how I struggled with my vocab words and what I did to eventually overcome that challenge. I will show you artifacts of study tools that I used to help me.

Key Club Leadership
Key Club

Key club has taught me about leadership and working through hard and difficult situations. Key club is an after school club at the Dayton Regional STEM School that focuses on giving back to the community and volunteering events. Throughout the school year each member is asked to complete six hours of volunteering each quarter. While focusing on the community we provide school wide fundraisers each month and donating to our charity of the month.
