At the beginning of the 9th grade, I had a different mindset as I do now. Before, I was not excited about doing the homework, or even doing it at all. There were some things that made me nervous, and that stopped me from doing some things at first. One example was raising my hand in class. Now that I have made it through my 9th grade year I have come to realize, just how different my mindset is. Now, I have motivation to do my homework. It’s always just a little thought telling me, if I don’t do this, I could fail. I also realize how important it is for me to do well throughout these next four grades. With that in mind, I have finally been able to find the proper motivation to do homework, each and every day. At this point, I know how it feels to be in 9th grade, I am no longer nervous about it. I am comfortable with raising y hand, and going in front of the class to present something, my whole idea on that has changed. I know see how important it is to do stuff like that. It helps you understand what you are learning more. I have realized that the one quality that I had to rely on most, was persistence. I never gave up, even when something was difficult. It was hard work at first, but I kept at it and soon I became very good with using it. I was struggling with math and I didn’t not ask my teacher for help. But that’s when I found title one math. Title one math is a place that I go to every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, and all it is, is math tutoring. It has expanded how much I know in math and I am better in math. In 10th grade, I hope to bring all of the qualities with me. I hope that I won’t have to find the motivation to do homework, but I will already have it. I need to know that it is not bad to raise your hand, or go in front of the class to say something.  In 10th grade, I would like to get A’s and B’s and no C’s, I would like to do better in 10th grade then I did 9th.
