Genius Hour

 How can I teach myself and others how to make professional Youtube videos?

I used 20% of my genius hour time to research different ways to attract viewers, and how to get subscribers. This took a lot of the 20% of time that I had. But I also worked on a script for my video, so that way I would not stumble over my words when I actually started to record my video. This way I had a basic understanding of what to say, so I did not “wing it”. I made this script for the video that I recorded, and this video shows a lot of my tips and tricks that I have found throughout my research. I made this video as funny as I could without making it unprofessional. To create this video I took a of steps to make it. I started of finding liable resources that were not blocked. This took probably at least half of my time. Once I had found all of the information I needed I worked on making the script. Then finally one day I worked on recording the voice for the video or the voice over. Over the rest of the time I worked on editing my video, some of you probably don’t realize how difficult and how frustrating it is. This took me a long time to edit and work on. A small portion of my time went to finding the best parts of the video to show to the professionals. Throughout these steps I worked on had quite of successes. Some of the best are the fact that I got my script done before I did the voice over for the video. I got to finish the video voice over in one sitting because I did not make many mistakes when recording it. Editing went really good to, the only thing was that it was time consuming and it was frustrating. But not everything went by so smoothly, I had a lot of troubles with my research. I ended up spending more time finding websites that weren’t blocked. But that was my only challenge and it was easy to overcome, all I had to do was do the research at home.

In this video I show some of the tips and tricks I learned throughout the Genius Hour project. I cover things like how to attract veiwers, how to get subscribers and other topics you might want/need to know if you were to start your own youtube channel. These are some of the best tips I could find so I really do reccomend it to anyone who wants a Youtube channel,

I used  20% of my time to research how to get  subscribers and how to attract viewers. I spent a lot of time looking all of it up. But once I finished my research I started to work on the script . This is so I  would have some kind of clue what to say when I started to record. I did not really have a process except for me getting on the computer and looking stuff up. My resources did not vary I stuck with google throughout this project and I used it throughout the video. I used my Language arts binder to hold all of my information and sources . Before the project we set up our journal to hold all information and notes we want to write down, so it was all set up once we started the project. I also feel that many other people have solved this topic, and it is one that is very popular, I just hope that this will be one of the best “tutorials” that you can get. I had a lot of success like finding this one website that had a whole truckload of information that helped me so much I felt like I had to do no more at all. That was my biggest success. Not all of it was good though i had a lot of trouble finding websites that were not blocked by the school. But i was able to overcome this by doing all of the research at home rather than a school computer.
